The Beat - Promotional Video
Set right outside of the "Dutch Point" neighborhood in Hartford, CT, this promotional video features Hartford's own Ghazi Omair – poet, lyricist, and audio producer/engineer. While the purpose of this video is to promote Hartford Public Library's new streaming platform for hometown artists – which it does ever so poetically – the visual also pays homage to the city's everyday artists; the ones working day in and day out on their crafts, especially those seeking resources in the city to amplify potential opportunities. Showcasing popular and less known symbols of the city's culture, like Ghazi's Clark's desert boot, which is a nod to the city's rich Jamaican population & culture; or, shots the Amos Bull house, a quiet gem tucked in Hartford's downtown. This video ultimately gives Hartfordites and specifically Hartford artist an opportunity to see themselve, and to see themselves as apart of the Hartford Public Library community, through their ability to feel The Beat.

About Me

- Brewsta Million
- Songwriter, producer, and performer -- Brewsta Million is a maverick in the hip-hop music world. He defies any easy pigeonhole; turning his lyrics and productions into pieces of art to inspire fellow artists and listeners. Brewsta Million was actually "Brewster's Millions," a 1985 movie directed by Walter Hill, starring the late, "Richard Pryor." It's hard to imagine another artist on the hip-hop scene combining lyrical insight, devastating performances, and world-class productions. It's not just his wealth of versatile styles, or his smooth and expressive voice that has made Brewsta Million such a fine artist; it's his songs, ranging from thoughtful to love to hate, that proves he knows his way around the music industry.
